A WaTo Consulting technician may ask you to download one of these remote access tools so we can help troubleshoot your computer. Only run these tools when you are already speaking with, or have been directly instructed by, WaTo Consulting.
Remote access software can allow a technician to see your screen and, with your approval, control your computer. Only continue if you have requested support from WaTo Consulting or you are already dealing with a known WaTo technician.
Most remote support sessions follow these steps.
Choose the remote access tool your WaTo technician has requested.
Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts.
Provide the displayed ID, code, or password only to your WaTo technician.
Stay present and approve the connection so we can complete the support work.
Select the option your WaTo Consulting technician has requested. If you are unsure, choose WaTo TeamViewer Full or call us before continuing.
The standard WaTo TeamViewer installer for Windows. Use this for most one-off remote support sessions where a technician needs to connect and help while you are present.
Used for pre-approved managed access or ongoing support arrangements. Do not install this unless a WaTo technician has specifically asked you to.
Lightweight remote access option. Use the WaTo-hosted download for a direct Windows copy, or open the official HopToDesk site if requested by your technician.
Downloads the latest TeamViewer 15 installer through Ninite. This is useful when your technician wants a clean current TeamViewer install on Windows.
Official TeamViewer download page for Windows. Use this if the direct WaTo download is blocked, or your technician asks you to download TeamViewer from the official website.
Official TeamViewer download page for Apple Mac devices. Download TeamViewer, open it, then provide the connection details only to your WaTo technician.
Alternative remote access tool for Windows. Use this when TeamViewer is not working, is blocked, or your WaTo technician specifically asks for AnyDesk.
